A Colleague's View

I’ve known David for nearly four years, and as a colleague, partner and fellow director for two. I’ve got to know him very well.  David is a one off, a special and unique individual. I can honestly say that I’ve never met anyone like him in my personal or professional life (and I am willing to bet that anyone else who knows David would say the same).

David is a gifted doctor, and more than that he is a healer in the true sense of the word. He healed himself from an illness that nearly destroyed his life and now he heals others who have often given up hope of getting better. I have seen what he can do for people. I was extremely sceptical about David’s holistic approach at first. I trained as a psychologist and scientific validity is a big issue for me. I need evidence. In the past two years I’ve seen the evidence. David’s patients improve, feel better about themselves, and most get well again for the first time in many years.

David also does things that other specialists don’t. He gives people time, he educates them about their illness, he fights their corner, and he involves the carer in the treatment. It is a privilege and an education to work with David. I have learnt a huge amount from his knowledge and professionalism, but most of all I have benefited from his compassion, tolerance (of me!), and warmth. I would urge anyone suffering from ME. to heed this man’s advice, and if you ever get a chance to hear him speak, take it.
